Damoy Point Hut Station L / Wiencke Island Latitude : 64°48 S Longitude : 63°30 W “Damoy Hut was established by the BAS in November 1975 as a summer air facility and was used annually until November 1993 when it was last occupied by BAS staff. The hut was used as a transit station in early summer for BAS staff and stores to be flown south when the sea ice prevented access by ship to Rothera Research Station on Adelaide Island.”
