Watched the Soyuz leave the assembly building by slow train for it’s launch position at the historic Gagarin Start launch pad. The journey took about 30 minutes. Upon arriving at the launch pad, a large hydraulic lift raised the rocket to vertical. Amazingly, I was able to get to within about 50 yards of the Soyuz. There were about 150 other people there to observe the rollout – astronauts, cosmonauts, nasa, esa, and one orthodox priest!
